Our Story
The story of FootBalance begins in 2003, when Erkki Hakkala, a physiotherapist specializing in lower limb problems, got the idea to develop a more modern and cost-effective method for helping patients.
Hakkala founded FootBalance with a mission to redefine foot health and wellbeing by making it accessible for all. This is what lies behind everything we do, still.
In the beginning, the technology and products didn’t exist, so we had to invent them. We’ve filed over 100 patents – and are still counting.
Our unique approach combines advanced technology, custom products, and personalised experiences. But we have a bigger purpose beyond products and technology.
